Journey to Marble Hill

Playing with textures

This morning i took a picture of a Merry-go-round, which was lovely in the fog and darkness.
Tonight i found a tutorial on textures and decided to try one out, I’ve never used textures in my life. Took about 5 minutes to learn but, i think the end result is pretty cool. i might be using textures in the future.

Here’s the original

Barge Stuck at K&I Railroad Bridge 2006

As I’ve been organizing old photos onto my new external hard drive I’m running across some photos I’ve never seen. So here is the latest. In 2006, a runaway barge broke loose on the Ohio River and got lodged sideways on the K&I Railroad Bridge. The barge stayed there for 4 months until it could be moved. Story here. I apparently got a picture of it while crossing the Sherman Minton Bridge one day.

Forgotten Photos

Since I’ve been sick for 7 days I’ve been trying to organize my photos on my hard drives. I keep coming across neat shots that I’ve never seen before. Tells me I take too many pictures and don’t leave time to actually get to look at them. I guess as I organize I’ll keep posting pictures in here but for now here’s one shot I dig, that I remember taking and never doing anything with it.
