Just how deep is the harbor in Port Angeles? The harbor is deep enough to provide anchorage for large ocean-going ships such as tankers and cruise ships.
We can thank the Ediz Hook sand spit that provides protection to the deep harbor from the storms and swells that blow in from the Pacific end of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. In fact the Port Angeles Harbor is the closest deep-water port to the Pacific Rim in the Pacific Northwest. So how deep is it? I have no idea, I cannot find the information anywhere!
