When i visited the Hoh Rainforest on my birthday this year it poured the whole time. and i mean POURED. I got one good shot from the day.. the rest of my pics look like that last one i posted 😀

Sol Duc Falls

Tom and I walked out to Sol Duc Falls for my birthday hike this year in april. It was a magical place!

Ediz Hook

I was waiting for a rainbow on Ediz Hook tonight but I apparently had just missed it. The sun went behind the clouds right when i turned onto the hook. Still got some good shots of Port Angeles though!

Hurricane Ridge Road

Drove up to the Heart of the Hills Entrance Station today to see if there were any scenic views on the drive. The entrance is about 6 miles from my apartment up the mountains. I didn’t have my tripod with me so not such great pics, but i can already tell its going to be beautiful up there once i can get in!

Right outside city limits

Right when you leave Port Angeles city limits traveling west there’s a small pull over to the right of Hwy 101 just before you get to the first Olympic National Park entrance. This scenic view spot is pretty amazing, I stop at it every-single-time I leave town.

 

Port Angeles Rainbows

This town and the rainbows the weather produces :D:D:D I have so many photos of rainbows, unfortunately they are mostly in Iphone form =P

SUNNY DAY at Lake Crescent!

It finally happened! I made it to Lake Crescent and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky!

Snowy Day actually. I was enjoying the Port Angeles sunshine again and decided to drive out to Lake Crescent to get some shots and it ofcourse started to snow right when i drove around the bend 🙂 One day i will see this lake in the sun lol

Cape Flattery

Man, what a drive that was from Port Angeles! It might have been better with company, maybe not 🙂 I headed out last week to the ends of the earth – Washington style; basically the most northwestern point in the lower United States. It was cloudy, raining and foggy the entire drive/hike out to the cape. Where the Strait of Juan de Fuca joins the Pacific Ocean makes for a beautiful sight to behold.

Lake Crescent Rain

I was excited to show Tom what Lake Crescent looked like today. When we started leaving the city limits it started raining. This is pretty much all he saw lol. We will have to try again another day.

Francis Street Park – Port Angeles

Tom and I went to check out the sunset from a place near our home called Francis Street Park. What a delightful gem! Such a perfect place for a Saturday picnic with a relaxing view of the Strait. I will definitely be spending more time here in the future.

Salt Creek Recreation Area

I drove to Salt Creek tonight thinking i was going to get photos of pool tides. That might have to wait. Turns out I cannot carry a huge flashlight, a heavy tri-pod, and a camera while climbing over rocks lol I mean a simple back pack probably would have helped, but after seeing ice on the rocks along the path i was going to take I backed out.Oh well, Another day soon perhaps.
